Frontier Airlines Named Best U.S. Low Cost Carrier by Readers of Business Traveler Magazine
DENVER, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Readers of Business Traveler magazine have named Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) the best low cost carrier in the U.S. in the magazine's 18th annual Readers' Choice Business Travel Survey. This is the first time Frontier has been selected for this honor.
In tabulating the "Best in Business Travel Awards," Business Traveler magazine randomly sampled its subscribers and then commissioned a third-party agency to conduct the annual survey, with more than 33 percent of the magazine's subscribers responding. Business Traveler's readership base spends an average of 67 nights on the road and collectively flies 6 million round-trip flights per year.
"All of us at Frontier are thrilled to be named the best low cost carrier in the U.S. by readers of Business Traveler," said Jeff Potter, president and CEO of Frontier Airlines. "What's so exciting about this for us is that our passengers felt passionate enough about our airline to complete the survey and choose Frontier as their favorite. This recognition would not be possible without the 5,000 Frontier employees who go above and beyond everyday to ensure that our passengers have the best possible experience on Frontier. Clearly, they are doing their jobs. I'd like to thank our amazing staff and our loyal customers for making this award possible."
Business Traveler readers also chose Frontier's hub, Denver International Airport (DEN), as the best airport in North America. Frontier operates routes linking its Denver hub to 55 destinations, including 47 destinations in 29 states spanning the nation from coast to coast, seven cities in Mexico and one city in Canada.
