Nov 6, 2006Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for October 2006DENVER, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for October 2006. Revenue passenger miles increased 15.4 percent to 669,282,000 for October 2006 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 14.1 percent to 920,922,000 for October 2006 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for October 2006 of 72.7 percent, an increase of 0.8 points from October 2005, when the airline reported a load factor of 71.9 percent. The airline carried 742,132 passengers during October 2006, a 19.6 percent increase from October 2005. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.32 cents for the month of October 2006, a decrease of 0.2 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger revenue per available seat mile was 7.50 cents, up .06 cents or 0.8 percent from October 2005. For the month of October 2006, the airline's average length of haul decreased 3.5 percent to 902 miles as compared to the same period last year.
