Frontier Unveils 'A Whole Different Website' With All New FrontierAirlines.com
Frontier to Offer Double Miles and Free DIRECTV® Service as Well as Lowest Fare Guarantee on New Website
DENVER, May 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Early this morning, Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) took the e-wrapping off its new website at FrontierAirlines.com. Over a year in the making, and based upon extensive research and feedback sessions with its customers, the Company expects the new site to become the primary driver of its ticket sales, as well as the home for all that is Frontier. In addition to offering new features and functionality, Frontier intends to drive traffic to its new website with several new offers:
* A Frontier first -- free DIRECTV for all passengers who book online. * Double miles to any destination booked online: With the lowest free ticket redemption level in the industry at 15,000 miles, passengers can earn a free ticket with just two round-trips from LA to Atlanta. * Frontier's low fare guarantee: If a passenger finds a Frontier airfare lower than what is offered on FrontierAirlines.com for the same flight on the same day, Frontier will credit the passenger with 2,500 EarlyReturns® miles.
"The launch of the new FrontierAirlines.com is a significant accomplishment for this Company and while on its surface, it is certainly a great customer enhancement, the true story for Frontier is one of cost-savings," said Jeff Potter, President and CEO of Frontier Airlines (and FrontierAirlines.com). "Our goal with the new site is to increase our web bookings by over 40 percent in the next year, which would reflect a significant savings for us in terms of distribution costs. The greatest compliment that I can give the dedicated and talented team of employees who have worked tirelessly on this project for over a year is to say that I am confident that we will not only meet, but handily exceed that expectation. We are very proud of this website and we welcome all of our customers to visit FrontierAirlines.com to see the new features and to learn a little more about Frontier Airlines."
The new website will be accompanied by a new series of television, newspaper and radio advertisements, in the spirit of Frontier's tremendously popular "A Whole Different Animal" ad campaign, developed by Grey Worldwide. The new ads will feature the Frontier animal "star spokesanimals," Grizwald the Bear, Larry the Lynx, Jack the Rabbit and Sal the Cougar, as they get to know the new website ... and it gets to know them. The radio, print and TV campaign will run for several months as Frontier continues to raise visibility for the new website.

Frontier's new website is based on the latest and greatest technology platforms from Sun Microsystems, including Solaris 10? Operating System (OS), Java? 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) and Sun Fire? X4100 (x86, 64-bit) servers. The hardware was chosen based upon its scalability and strong performance metrics. In addition, the new site is being hosted by ViaWest with quadruple redundancy at data centers around the country.
"Our new site was built from the ground up with the goal of providing the best experience of any e-commerce website, bar none," said Lowell Miller, Director of IT Planning and Business Solutions. "Each website iteration was reviewed by over 70 stakeholders, so the culmination of the new FrontierAirlines.com was truly a complete team effort involving every department within Frontier Airlines as well as our customers. However, this is only the first step with many improvements still to come."
Currently in its 12th year of operations, Denver-based Frontier Airlines is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport, employing approximately 4,800 aviation professionals.
