Oct 20, 2005Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for October 2005DENVER (November 7, 2005) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for October 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 7.4 percent to 580,088,000 for October 2005 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 9.3 percent to 806,777,000 for October 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for October 2005 of 71.9 percent, a decrease of 1.3 points from October 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 73.2 percent. The airline carried 620,711 passengers during October 2005, a 12.6 percent increase from October 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.34 cents for the month of October 2005, an increase of 6.4 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger revenue per available seat mile was 7.44 cents, up .33 cents or 4.6 percent from October 2004. For the month of October 2005, the airline's average length of haul decreased 4.5 percent to 935 miles as compared to the same period last year.
