May 20, 2005Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for May 2005DENVER (June 6, 2005) – Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for May 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 26.3 percent to 614,941,000 for May 2005 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 8.3 percent to 804,163,000 for May 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for May 2005 of 76.5 percent, an increase of 10.9 points from May 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 65.6 percent. The airline carried 629,113 passengers during May 2005, a 27.1 percent increase from May 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.01 cents for the month of May 2005, a decrease of 1.4 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) was 7.65 cents, up 1.0 cents or 15.0 percent from May 2004. For the month of May 2005, the airline’s average length of haul decreased 0.7 percent to 977 miles, compared to the same period last year.
