Apr 20, 2005Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for April 2005DENVER (May 5, 2005) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for April 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 18.3 percent to 562,158,000 for April 2005 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 6.2 percent to 730,660,000 for April 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for April 2005 of 76.9 percent, an increase of 7.8 points from April 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 69.1 percent. The airline carried 571,005 passengers during April 2005, a 17.1 percent increase from April 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.07 cents for the month of April 2005, a decrease of 1.5 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) was 7.74 cents, up .68 cents or 9.6 percent from April 2004. For the month of April 2005, the airline's average length of haul increased 1.1 percent to 985 miles, compared to the same period last year.
