Frontier Airlines and Apple Vacations Announce Partnership
DENVER (March 21, 2005) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) and Apple Vacations today announced a pre-purchase seat agreement for flights between Denver and four premier vacation destinations in Mexico: Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. The agreement provides a revenue guarantee for Frontier Airlines, and allows Apple Vacations confirmed flight inventory so they can focus on creating their signature top-quality vacation packages. The benefit to consumers will be great values for dream vacation packages to the top Mexican resort destinations, plus members of Frontier's frequent flier program EarlyReturns will earn miles for their Apple Vacations travel.
Beginning as early as June, Apple Vacations' packages between Denver and these Mexico destinations will exclusively feature travel aboard Frontier Airlines, which offers reliable, scheduled service with new Airbus aircraft, in addition to onboard amenities such as 24 channels of LiveTV, 33 inches of legroom, and outstanding customer service.
"Frontier Airlines has quickly become the major player in Denver-to-Mexico travel and, combined with Apple Vacations' travel packages, vacationers will enjoy a reliable, comfortable ride, and a comprehensive package upon their arrival," said Vice President of Planning and Revenue Management Greg Aretakis.
"Apple's commitment to a quality vacation experience and Frontier's excellent service is a winning combination," stated Mark Noennig, Apple Vacations Vice President and General Manager. "We will be focused on marketing vacation packages to more Mexico destinations than ever before. This is a very exciting partnership!"
