Jan 20, 2005Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for January 2005DENVER (February 7, 2005) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for January 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 21.1 percent to 519,860,000 for January 2005 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 20.5 percent to 769,052,000 for January 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for January 2005 of 67.6 percent, an increase of 0.3 points from January 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 67.3 percent. The airline carried 519,237 passengers during January 2005, a 12.4 percent increase from January 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.15 cents for the month of January 2005, a decrease of 7.2 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile was 6.86 cents, down .50 cents or 6.8 percent from January 2004. For the month of January 2005, the airline's average length of haul increased 7.6 percent to 1,001 miles, compared to the same period last year.
