Jul 20, 2004Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for July 2004DENVER (August 5, 2004) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for July 2004. Revenue passenger miles increased 44.9 percent to 683,107,000 for July 2004 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 46.1 percent to 859,966,000 for July 2004 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for July 2004 of 79.4 percent, a decrease of .7 points from July 2003, when the airline reported a load factor of 80.1 percent. The airline carried 683,196 passengers during July 2004, a 32.4 percent increase from July 2003. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.24 cents for the month of July 2004, a decrease of 11.6 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger revenue per available seat mile was 8.14 cents, down 1.13 cents or 12.2 percent from July 2003. For the month of July 2004, the airline's average length of haul increased 9.4 percent to 1,000 miles, compared to the same period last year.
