Patricia Engels Joins Frontier Airlines' Board of Directors


DENVER (April 5, 2004) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced that Patricia A. Engels has been appointed to its Board of Directors. With the addition of Engels, the airline's Board consists of nine directors. Engels has been appointed to serve a term through the airline's next annual shareholders meeting, which will take place in September 2004.

"Pat will undoubtedly be a great addition to our Board," said Chairman of the Board Sam Addoms. "Her marketing expertise coupled with her knowledge of the airline industry will be extremely valuable to Frontier's rapid growth. We welcome her and look forward to her contributions."

In addition to her new Board responsibilities, Engels currently serves as Executive Vice President, Products and Marketing for Qwest in Denver, Colorado, where she is responsible for the product management, marketing and pricing of Qwest's $14 billion voice, data, and IP product portfolio. Engels has extensive senior leadership experience with Fortune 500 companies including EDS, Corporation, SBC Communications, Ameritech Corporation, and United Airlines. During her tenure with United, Engels served in several capacities including President and CEO of Mileage Plus, Inc, Vice President of Market Development, and Director of Market Planning.

Engels, who received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, is very active in the communities in which she has lived, and currently serves on the board of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. Engels is also a former member of the University of Illinois Business Advisory Council and the Art Institute of Chicago, and a member of the Chicago Network. Engels currently lives in Denver with her husband Richard and they have an adult son.
