Frontier Airlines to be Exclusive Airline of the Colorado Crush

DENVER (Jan. 27, 2004) - Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced that it has signed a three-year agreement with the Colorado Crush, Denver's professional Arena Football League (AFL) team, to serve as the exclusive and official airline of the Crush. This latest announcement follows Frontier's sponsorship agreements with the Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Colorado Rockies (MLB), Colorado Mammoth (NLL) and the Pepsi Center.

As the exclusive and official airline of the Crush, Frontier will receive the following:

  • Preferred airline status for all Colorado Crush air travel
  • Co-branding opportunities for marketing and promotional materials
  • Frontier will become the title sponsor of the Colorado Crush field system, which will be called Frontier Field at Pepsi Center, and Frontier Field will appear on all season tickets
  • Two field level dasher boards in prime exposure locations
  • A Frontier uniform patch on all uniforms
  • Two digital fascia boards showcasing Frontier logos and messaging
  • Print advertising in all home game programs
  • A Frontier scoreboard feature to be shown on the video board after every Colorado Crush touchdown
  • A Colorado Crush Game Day Sponsorship package

The new relationship will also offer some very unique opportunities to members of Frontier's frequent flyer program, EarlyReturns. Those members will be offered Colorado Crush vacation and prize packages in addition to their flight benefits. Frontier and the Crush will also offer a "fantasy football" experience in which nine frequent flyers may travel to Arizona or Los Angeles to play golf with John Elway and other former Denver Broncos players and eight winners will travel on the Colorado Crush team plane to a Crush away game. In addition, EarlyReturns members may use their points for one night in a suite at the Pepsi Center for a Crush game, for authentic Colorado Crush merchandise or for VIP seating in the Frontier Airlines "Touchdown Zone."

"This an excellent fit for two Colorado organizations that represent the true spirit of this great state," said Frontier's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sean Menke. "Frontier and the Crush are both blazing new territory in our respective fields and we are proud to sponsor the Crush."

"Frontier is the ideal sponsor for a young and exhilarating sport like arena football and they bring a level of professionalism and excellence to the Crush organization that will benefit us tremendously as we make our charge for the ArenaBowl this year," said John Elway, co-owner and CEO of the Crush. "We are eager to make Frontier and all of our fans proud this year as we continue to establish ourselves as a premiere team in the AFL."

"Our partnership with Frontier represents our continuing efforts to establish relationships with creative, dynamic and progressive organizations who strive for excellence," said Ron Sally, president of the Crush. "We are both excited and honored to have Frontier as part of the Crush family."
