Jan 20, 2004Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for January 2004DENVER (Feb. 5, 2004) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for January 2004. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased 50.8 percent to 429,397,000 for January 2004 from the same period last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 17.8 percent to 638,374,000 for January 2004 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for January 2004 of 67.3 percent, an increase of 14.8 points from January 2003, when the airline reported a load factor of 52.5 percent. The airline carried 461,776 passengers during January 2004, a 46.3 percent increase from January 2003. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.94 cents for the month of January 2004, a decrease of 9.9 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger Revenue per Available Seat Mile (RASM) was 7.36 cents, up .98 cents or 15.4 percent from January 2003.
