Sep 24, 2003Frontier Airlines Reaffirms Wichita Service with New Codeshare PartnerGreat Lakes Airlines to Replace Mesa as Codeshare Partner on Denver to Wichita Route Denver, CO (Sept. 24, 2003) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced that Mesa Air, operating as Frontier JetExpress, will be replaced by Great Lakes Airlines (Nasdaq: GLUX) for service to Wichita Mid-Continent Airport (ICT), effective Nov. 1, 2003. Frontier Airlines has worked closely with the City of Wichita, Wichita Mid-Continent Airport and Frontier's codeshare partner, Great Lakes Airlines (Nasdaq: GLUX) to secure Great Lakes as a replacement partner for its Wichita, Kan. service. Beginning Nov. 1, 2003 all Frontier service to Wichita will be operated by Great Lakes with three daily non-stop flights between Denver and Wichita. Great Lakes and Frontier initially entered into their codeshare agreement in July 2001, and currently operate 34 codeshare markets connecting Great Lakes regional destinations in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming to Frontier's coast-to-coast destinations. "Great Lakes has been a reliable partner for Frontier since we began our relationship with them in 2001," said Sean Menke, vice president of marketing and planning for Frontier. "We are confident that Great Lakes will be able to offer Wichita a superior level of service to Denver while continuing to bring value to the travelers of Wichita as they connect to Frontier's 40 destinations." Service from Wichita to destinations beyond Denver will continue to be sold through Frontier reservations at 800-4321-FLY. Local service between Denver and Wichita can be purchased through Great Lakes directly by calling Great Lakes reservations at 1-800-554-5111 or on its Web site at www.greatlakesav.com. Frontier will contact all passengers who are affected by the change of service to/from Wichita to assist in re-accommodating on Great Lakes. As previously announced, Frontier Airlines and Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group, operating as Frontier JetExpress, are concluding their codeshare relationship effective Dec. 31, 2003.
