Frontier Airlines Names Norman Dawkin Director of Aviation Safety and Security


DENVER (July 29, 2003) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) has named Norm Dawkin as director of aviation safety and security, effective July 14, 2003. Dawkin, 59, previously served as Frontier's manager of aviation safety and security. In his new role, Dawkin's responsibilities have been expanded to include directing all aspects of the airline's safety, security and regulatory compliance areas, including overseeing an integrated safety management program and building upon the airline's internal evaluation (audit) program. He will report to Vice President, Aviation Safety and Security Tom Nunn.

"Norm brings 32 years of aviation experience to this elevated role, and we welcome his continued expertise to these key areas. His background in emergency response and planning, airline operations and safety is complemented by his business acumen, and this combined skill set will prove invaluable to Frontier as we continue to ensure flying is as safe as possible for our employees and our customers," stated Nunn.

Dawkin's work experience includes extensive international involvement in system operations, and he has worked closely with police and security agencies, airport authorities and governmental officials through out the world. Dawkin, who has a masters degree in security management, previously served as the emergency contingency manager for Emirates Airlines in Dubai, U.A.E., as well as manager of emergency planning and manager, systems operations centre, for Canadian Airlines International in Calgary, Canada.
