Mar 28, 2003Frontier Airlines Adds 17th Airbus A319 to its FleetDENVER (March 28, 2003) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced it has accepted delivery of its 17th Airbus A319. The airline will lease the 132-seat jet from Wells Fargo Bank Northwest N.A. as a trustee for Lombard Aviation Capital Limited. With today's announcement, Frontier's fleet consists of 16 737-300s, three 737-200s and 17 Airbus A319s, for a total of 36 aircraft. Each of Frontier's aircraft features a unique wildlife theme on its tail, depicting animals native to the continental United States. The airline's newest aircraft features a photo of a whitetail deer on each side of its tail and on its wingtips. The wildlife photo was taken by Erwin and Peggy Bauer. Frontier also announced today that it will increase frequencies from its Denver hub to Tampa, Fla. and Reno, Nev. on June 15, 2003. With the announced schedule additions, Frontier will offer two daily round-trip flights between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Tampa International Airport (TPA), and two daily round-trip flights between DEN and Reno/Tahoe International Airport (RNO). In celebration of the new frequency, Frontier Airlines is offering Frontier EarlyReturns members who fly to or from Tampa or Reno between June 15 and June 30, 2003, double bonus miles to add to their EarlyReturns account.
