Frontier Airlines Implements Flexible Travel Policies

DENVER (Mar. 19, 2003) In response to this evening's military actions in Iraq, Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) has implemented its additional flexible ticketing policies, allowing current ticket holders to alter their travel plans free of charge. Details of the policy are outlined below:

  1. Customers holding previously issued tickets for travel commencing within 90 days (by June 19, 2003) can make a one-time itinerary change without incurring the standard administrative fee. The new itinerary must reflect travel that occurs within the same 90-day period.
  2. The policy also applies to customers flying on EarlyReturns redemption miles.
  3. The policy pertains to the airline's entire route system, including Mexico destinations and markets served by Frontier JetExpress.
  4. Customers must call Frontier Airlines reservations at 1-800-432-1FLY (1-800-432-1359) before their first travel date in order to receive the administrative fee waiver. However, customers are asked to remain patient as Denver has experienced a significant blizzard over the past 48 hours, with parts of Colorado, including Denver, receiving over two feet of snow. Due to heavy call volume, customers may experience a significant delay when calling, and Frontier apologizes for the delays. Customers may also ask their travel agent to rebook their flight.
  5. Customers must qualify for all of the requirements of the new fare, and will be responsible for any difference in fare.
  6. Customers who are currently mid-trip may change their return plans by standing by for other Frontier flights, at no charge, during the first seven days that the policy is in effect (through March 26, 2003).

Frontier Airlines currently plans to continue all scheduled service and advises passengers to check flight status via Frontier Airlines' web site at www.frontierairlines.com, or by calling Frontier Airlines' general reservations line at 800-432-1359. In addition, security directives that may impact passenger travel will be updated on www.frontierairlines.com.

Denver-based Frontier Airlines employs approximately 3,100 aviation professionals and is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport. Frontier and its regional jet partner Frontier JetExpress offer service to 39 cities. Frontier's fleet consists of 35 aircraft, which feature a single-class configuration. In 2002, for the fourth consecutive year, Frontier's maintenance and engineering department has received the Federal Aviation Administration's highest award, the Diamond Certificate of Excellence. This award signifies 100 percent of the airline's maintenance and engineering employees have completed advanced aircraft maintenance training programs. In April 2002, Entrepreneur ranked Frontier one of two "Best Low-Fare Airlines." Frontier provides capacity information and other operating statistics on its Web site, which may be viewed at www.frontierairlines.com.
