Frontier Airlines Offers Thanksgiving Holiday Travel Tips

DENVER (Nov. 25, 2002) Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) thanks its customers for their support and wishes them a safe and joyous holiday season. To ensure a smooth holiday travel experience, Frontier recommends that travelers visit the airline’s web site at www.frontierairlines.com for recommended check-in times, hours of operation and real-time flight status. Travelers are also encouraged to visit the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) site at www.tsatraveltips.us to learn more about its new passenger awareness campaign called Prepare for Takeoff, which is designed to inform travelers about new airport security measures and offer tips to help travelers save time and smoothly navigate the security process. Frontier also offers the following tips for its customers traveling this holiday season:

  • To check the status of any Frontier flight, customers are encouraged to check real-time flight status on the airline’s web site at www.frontierairlines.com, call Frontier’s automated flight information line at 1-800-432-1359 or contact Frontier’s reservations office at 1-800-432-1359 or 303-371-7000 (in metro Denver).
  • Customers are encouraged to use Frontier’s curbside check-in at Denver International Airport (DEN), which is located on the east side of DEN on Levels 5 and 6.
  • Customers checking in at Frontier’s Denver International Airport hub are encouraged to access the A concourse via the sky-bridge on the north side of the main terminal, which offer a less congested security checkpoint.
  • EarlyReturns Ascent and Summit members may now use the frequent flyer elite lines at the security checkpoints and ticket counter at DEN and other airports where the service is available, to expedite their access to the gates.
  • Please remember that all carry-on luggage is subject to inspection at all security checkpoints.
  • All wrapped packages/gifts will be unwrapped and inspected. In order to keep this process running quickly and efficiently, Frontier Airlines advises that all passengers abide by the TSA permitted and prohibited items. Customers can check www.tsatraveltips.us, for the latest TSA approved items.
  • Only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond the security checkpoint. Proper, government issued identification, such as a state issued drivers license or a passport, along with proof of a flight reservation, will be needed to pass through security. With the proper approval from the Frontier Airlines ticketing counter, unticketed customers who have a specific need (escorting/meeting unaccompanied children, etc.) will be allowed beyond the security checkpoint.

Denver-based Frontier Airlines employs approximately 3,000 aviation professionals and is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport. Frontier and its regional jet partner Frontier JetExpress offer service to 37 cities. Frontier’s fleet consists of 35 aircraft, which feature a single-class configuration. In 1999, 2000 and 2001, Frontier's maintenance and engineering department received the Federal Aviation Administration's highest award, the Diamond Certificate of Excellence, in recognition of 100 percent of its maintenance and engineering employees completing advanced aircraft maintenance training programs. In April 2002, Entrepreneur ranked Frontier one of two "Best Low-Fare Airlines," and in September 2001, Fortune ranked Frontier 41st on its 100 Fastest Growing Companies list. Frontier provides capacity information and other operating statistics on its Web site, which may be viewed at www.frontierairlines.com.
