Oct 15, 2002Frontier Airlines Names Director, Flight TrainingDENVER (Oct. 15, 2002) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) has named Captain Jim Sullivan as director, flight training, effective Nov. 1, 2002. Sullivan, 38, brings over 15 years of aviation, training and flight operations experience to his new position and currently serves as captain and check airman for the Frontier’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. Sullivan has more than 12,000 total hours of flight time. In his new position, Sullivan will lead and oversee Frontier’s pilot training curriculum for its fleet of Airbus A318 and A319 and Boeing 737-200/300 aircraft. He will report directly to Vice President, Flight Operations Bill McKinney. "Since joining Frontier over eight years ago, Jim has proven himself as an accomplished aviator and instructor, and has demonstrated exemplary leadership skills," said McKinney. "Those traits will transfer well to his new position as he develops and enhances Frontier’s training curriculum and as we continue our transition to a new fleet of Airbus A319 and A318 aircraft." Captain Sullivan joined Frontier Airlines in September 1994. His prior experience includes serving as a pilot with Columbus, Ohio-based Airnet Systems. Sullivan studied aerospace engineering at the University of Maryland. He is a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and currently resides in Arvada, Colo. with his wife Lisa and stepson Willy. Denver-based Frontier Airlines employs approximately 3,000 aviation professionals and is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport. The airline offers service to 35 cities with a fleet of 35 aircraft, featuring a single-class configuration.
