Aug 30, 2002Frontier Airlines and Mesa Air Group Announce Oakland as New Frontier JetExpress DestinationDenver (August 30, 2002) - Denver-based Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) in partnership with Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group (Nasdaq: MESA), operating as Frontier JetExpress, announced today that effective Oct. 22, Frontier JetExpress will launch service to Oakland, Calif. Frontier JetExpress will operate two trips daily between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Oakland International Airport (OAK). Oakland is a new Frontier destination and tickets go on sale today, Aug. 30, 2002. Mesa will operate Frontier JetExpress service with 50-seat Canadair Regional Jets. The service will include convenient connections beyond Denver to cities in the East including Atlanta, Austin, Houston, New York, Minneapolis, Tampa and many others. "We're very pleased to bring competitive air service to the thriving city of Oakland," said Frontier President and CEO Jeff Potter. "In addition to Oakland, on October 22, Frontier will begin service to Fort Myers, Oklahoma City and Tucson, bringing the total number of cities served by Frontier and Frontier JetExpress to 38."
