Aug 8, 2002Frontier Airlines Introduces Fort Myers, Oklahoma City and Tucson ServiceDENVER (Aug. 8, 2002) Denver-based Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced new service to Fort Myers, Fla., Oklahoma City, Okla. and Tucson, Ariz. effective Oct. 22, 2002. Frontier will operate two trips daily between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Oklahoma Citys Will Rogers World Airport (OKC), two trips daily between DEN and Tucson International Airport (TUS) and one trip daily between DEN and Fort Myers Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). Special introductory fares are on sale today for these new markets. Service to all three cities will include convenient connections beyond Denver to major cities across the Frontier network. Also today, Frontiers regional jet partner, Frontier JetExpress, operated by Mesa Air Group, announced new service to Wichita, Kan. effective Sept. 18. Including Wichita, Fort Myers, Oklahoma City and Tucson, Frontier and its affiliate Frontier JetExpress will serve 37 U.S. cities from their Denver hub. As we continue to transition our fleet, recognizing the current competitive nature of the industry, we remain focused on utilizing our assets in markets that make the most business sense, said Sean Menke, vice president of marketing and planning. The new cities weve announced today are underserved markets from Denver, and each offers not only strong leisure traffic, but also a potentially untapped business market that we believe will be extremely enthusiastic to try Frontiers service.
