Apr 4, 2002Frontier Airlines Names Ian Arthur - Senior Director, Marketing and Brand ManagementDENVER (Apr. 4, 2002) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced the appointment of Ian Arthur to the position of senior director, marketing and brand management. In this newly created position, Arthur, 47, will lead the airline's branding strategy and will report directly to Frontier Vice President of Marketing and Planning Sean Menke. "We are extremely proud of Frontier's unique corporate culture which has provided a solid foundation for Frontier's brand loyalty in the marketplace," said Menke. "We want to continue to build upon Frontier's strengths, and Ian's entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic marketing background are the perfect combination to lead these efforts," said Menke. Arthur most recently served as president/managing partner for Boulder-based
Tretorn, where he was responsible for that company's strategic marketing efforts.
Prior to that, Arthur held a variety of senior marketing positions at Toronto-based
Irwin Toys Ltd., Portland-based Nike. and Boulder-based Head Sports. His experience
also constitutes several other well-known consumer product companies including
Prince, Nordica and Dunlop. Arthur holds a bachelor of arts honors degree in economics and history from York University, Glendon College in Toronto, Canada. He currently resides in Boulder, Colo. with his wife and three daughters. Denver-based Frontier Airlines is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport, serving 29 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 30 aircraft and employing approximately 2,600 aviation professionals. In 1999, 2000 and 2001, Frontier's maintenance and engineering department received the Federal Aviation Administration's highest award, the Diamond Certificate of Excellence, in recognition of 100 percent of its maintenance and engineering employees completing advanced aircraft maintenance training programs.
