Feb 11, 2002Frontier Airlines and Mesa Air Group Announce New Frontier JetExpress DestinationsDENVER (Feb. 11, 2002) - Denver-based Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) in partnership with Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group (Nasdaq: MESA), operating as Frontier JetExpress, announced today that effective April 7, 2002, the airlines will launch service to St. Louis, Mo. and Ontario, Calif. Frontier JetExpress will operate three trips per weekday between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL) and two trips daily between DIA and Ontario International Airport (ONT). Both St. Louis and Ontario will mark new Frontier destinations and tickets go on sale today, Feb. 11. Mesa will operate Frontier JetExpress service with 50-seat Canadair Regional Jets. Frontier and Mesa will launch initial Frontier JetExpress service this Sunday, February 17 with service from Denver to San Jose and Houston, said Frontier President Jeff Potter. We are thrilled to grow our agreement with Mesa Air Group to include two additional thriving cities, St. Louis and Ontario, and look forward to continuing to expand Frontier JetExpress service, bringing Frontiers affordable fares and legendary Spirit of the West service to a growing number of U.S. destinations. "We are delighted to expand our new codeshare partnership with Frontier Airlines. Our relationship with Frontier provides us with a great opportunity to expand our regional jet flying while providing convenient service at reasonable prices to these communities," said Jonathan Ornstein, chairman and CEO of Mesa Air Group. We plan to have seven regional jets in service for Frontier by the end of 2002." *The Ontario and St. Louis service will be launched with a special introductory price to and from Denver of $99 each way, based on round-trip, off-peak (Tuesday and Wednesday) travel. The introductory fares are subject to availability, and do not include passenger facilities fees of up to $18 round trip, the the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement, or segment fees of $3 (a segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing). Tickets must be purchased by March 31, 2002. In addition, members of Frontiers frequent flyer program, EarlyReturns, who travel to and from Ontario and St. Louis between April 7 and May 22, 2002 will receive double miles.
