Dec 4, 2001Frontier Announces New Service to New Orleans, Fort Lauderdale and SacramentoDENVER (December 4, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) announced today that it will begin service to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), La. effective Feb. 1, and Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, Fla. (FLL) and Sacramento International Airport, Calif. (SMF) effective Feb. 26. Tickets for flights to and from these cities go on sale Friday, Dec. 7. With the new service, Frontier will serve 27 cities from its Denver hub. Frontier President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Potter stated: "We are encouraged to see that even during difficult times for the airline industry, there is still a demand for reliable, affordable air travel. We look forward to bringing our legendary spirit of the west service and affordable fares to these three new markets and to accommodate this service, we plan to take delivery of our sixth Airbus A319 aircraft in mid-February."
