Frontier Airlines and Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. Expand Codeshare to Nine Additional Markets

DENVER (October 18, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced it will add nine additional markets to its codeshare agreement with Cheyenne, Wyo.-based Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (Nasdaq: GLUX), bringing the total number of codeshare markets between the two airlines to 16. The airlines, which initially entered into their codeshare agreement in July 2001, currently operate seven codeshare markets. The expanded codeshare agreement will add the Frontier designator to nine Great Lakes cities including Laramie, Riverton, Rock Springs, Sheridan, and Worland, Wyo.; Cortez and Telluride, Colo.; Scottsbluff, Neb.; and Farmington, N.M. Customers desiring seamless travel between those markets and Frontier's route system may begin booking flights today for travel beginning Nov. 15, with the exception of Sheridan, Wyo., where the codeshare will commence on Oct. 31.

"We are pleased to broaden our relationship with Great Lakes, bringing Frontier's affordable fares and 'spirit of the west' service to additional customers in the process," said Frontier President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Potter.

"Expanding our relationship with Frontier Airlines is another step in the right direction for our airline in the communities we serve," said Great Lakes President Douglas Voss. "We are pleased that travelers in these nine new markets will now be able to take advantage of Frontier's affordable fares and convenient schedules, and we look forward to continuing to expand our agreement with Frontier into additional Great Lakes markets in the future."

In addition to today's announcement, Great Lakes Aviation also recently announced that as of Sept. 30, the airline had relocated its gates from the B concourse at its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub to Gate 52 on the A concourse, in close proximity to Frontier's gates, which are all located on the A concourse.
