Frontier Airlines Announces Organizational Changes


DENVER (Oct. 10, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced that Jon Bartram will assume the role of acting vice president of maintenance and engineering, effective immediately. Bartram replaces Bill Schaudt who is leaving his position in order to pursue other opportunities. Bartram previously served as the airline’s vice president of maintenance and engineering from 1994 to 2000. Bartram, 64, will oversee approximately 450 employees who perform the airline’s heavy “C” check maintenance, line maintenance, engineering, machine shops and avionics functions, and will report to President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Potter.

"We are pleased that Jon has accepted our invitation to return to Frontier," said Potter. "Jon played a key role during Frontier’s start-up period, including establishing our heavy maintenance team, and we look forward to his contributions. Additionally, we appreciate Bill’s contributions and participation in our Airbus transition project, and wish him the best in his future endeavors."

Bartram possesses nearly 40 years of aviation and maintenance experience, including 27 years with the former Frontier Airlines (1959-1986). He also served as an air carrier inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration and has held a number of key maintenance positions in the aviation industry. Bartram holds a bachelor of science degree from Regis University and is a licensed Airframe and PowerPlant (A & P) mechanic. He and his wife Judy currently live in Oklahoma City, Okla.
