Frontier Airlines Adds Flight Frequencies

DENVER (Oct. 5, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced it will add flights from its Denver hub to Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW), Kansas City (MCI), San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA), effective Nov. 15. The airline currently serves each city with three daily round trip flights and, with the announced schedule additions, will increase that frequency to four daily round trip flights. In order to accommodate the increased capacity, the airline will begin flying two of four Boeing 737-200s, which have been parked since Sept. 14. The capacity increase also will result in the recall of approximately 70 maintenance and engineering employees, effective Oct. 8.

"These markets were strong performers prior to the events of September 11, and we are pleased that consumer confidence appears to be in the early stages of rebounding and that the demand for our services warrants the additional flights," said President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Potter. "Obviously the recall of the furloughed maintenance and engineering employees is also great news, and returning other additional furloughed employees to work remains a key goal. On behalf of all of Frontier's employees, we are extremely grateful for the vote of confidence our loyal customers have displayed by continuing to fly with Frontier."

Denver-based Frontier Airlines is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport, serving 25 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 29 aircraft and employing approximately 2,200 aviation professionals. In June 2001, BusinessWeek ranked Frontier 14th on its list of Hot Growth Companies and in September 2001, Fortune magazine ranked Frontier 41st on its 100 Fastest Growing Companies list.
