Frontier Airlines Announces Codeshare Agreement With Mesa Airlines

DENVER (Sept. 5, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced it has signed an agreement with Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: MESA) for a regional jet codeshare partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, Frontier will market and sell flights operated by Mesa as Frontier JetExpress. The codeshare is anticipated to begin during the first calendar quarter of 2002 and will initially include the operation of at least five 50-passenger Bombardier CRJ-200 regional jets, which will provide service to new destinations as well as offer additional frequency to Frontier's current route system.

"This codeshare agreement marks a very positive step in Frontier's development and we are pleased to team up with Mesa," said Chief Executive Officer Sam Addoms. "This agreement will augment our plans to grow Frontier at a rate of approximately 15 percent on an annual basis, and will help us bring our affordable fares to new, secondary markets."

Frontier President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Potter added, "With Mesa as our newest codeshare partner, we will be able to offer more flight choices for business customers by supplementing additional frequencies in existing markets as well as entering new markets."
