Jul 26, 2001Frontier Announces Reno/Lake Tahoe and Austin, Texas ServiceDENVER, Colo. (July 26, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced it will begin service to Reno/Tahoe International Airport (RNO) and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) effective Oct. 1, 2001. The airline will operate two daily nonstop flights between RNO and Denver International Airport (DEN) and AUS and DEN with convenient connecting service to cities across the Frontier network. Special introductory fares for flights to and from Reno/Lake Tahoe and Austin go on sale today. With the new service, Frontier will serve 24 cities from its Denver hub. "Frontier has experienced tremendous positive growth during the past several years. As we prepare to accept our fourth and fifth new Airbus A319 aircraft in September, we will continue to explore entering new markets and adding more flights to cities we currently serve," said Frontier's Vice President of Marketing and Planning Sean Menke. "We are extremely pleased to welcome Austin and Reno/Lake Tahoe customers to the growing number of travelers who are benefiting from Frontier's affordable fares and legendary 'Spirit of the West' service."
