Frontier Airlines is the "Official Airline" of the Freddie Awards

DENVER (April 26, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) is proud to announce that it is the "Official Airline" of the 13th Annual Freddie Awards, hosted by InsideFlyer magazine and held today at the Hilton New York in New York City, NY. The Freddie Awards is an annual event where travelers select the best frequent travel programs in the airline, hotel and credit card industries. As official airline, Frontier Airlines offered discounted airfare to and from the event for Freddie Award attendees.

The Freddie Awards are named after Sir Freddie Laker who attracted fame (and a knighthood in the United Kingdom) for his pioneering marketing ideas within the travel industry in the 1970s. Randy Petersen, publisher of InsideFlyer magazine introduced the Freddies in 1988 to allow consumers to rank airline and hotel loyalty programs. Today, the awards are the most prestigious consumer-generated awards in the industry.

"Frontier Airlines introduced its own frequent flyer program just this year and we are honored to be able to participate as the official airline sponsor of the awards," said Manager of EarlyReturns, Mona Merchant. "The Freddie awards are a valuable recognition program because they are based on actual customer feedback. We look forward to Frontier's participation in the event in the future as our program matures."

Launched Feb. 1, 2001, Frontier's frequent flyer program EarlyReturns offers generous award redemptions, including a free round-trip flight anywhere on Frontier's route system with just 15,000 Frontier miles. Members earn one mile for every mile flown on Frontier, plus additional mileage with program partners including Continental Airlines, Midwest Express Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways, and Alamo, Hertz, National and Payless Car Rental, Kimpton Group Hotels and Citicorp Diners Club Inc. To apply for the program, customers can visit Frontier's Web site at http://www.frontierairlines.com , pick up an EarlyReturns enrollment form at any Frontier airport counter or call Frontier's EarlyReturns Service Center toll-free hotline at 866-26-EARLY or Frontier's reservations at 800-4321-FLY.
