Mar 15, 2001Frontier Airlines to Begin Houston, Texas ServiceHOUSTON, TEXAS (March 15, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced it will begin service to Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), effective May 16, 2001. The airline will operate three daily nonstop flights between IAH and Denver International Airport (DIA). With the new service, Frontier will offer convenient connections for its Houston customers beyond Denver to Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle. Flights will operate out of IAH Terminal A and gate location information will be determined at a later date. "Everything is big in Texas, including the demand for Frontier's "Spirit of the West" service and affordable fares," said Frontier's Vice President of Market Planning and Revenue Management Sean Menke. "With that in mind, we are very pleased to announce the addition of Houston to Frontier's route system. Including Houston, Frontier will now serve 18 of the top 25 destinations from Denver."
