Frontier Airlines Renews Status as Official Airline of San Diego's Fleet Week

DENVER (October 10, 2000) - For the third consecutive year, Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced that it will return as the Official Airline of San Diego's Fleet Week, a celebration honoring San Diego's sailors, Marines and Coast Guard personnel and their families. Fleet Week is produced by the Greater San Diego Chamber of Commerce and will run Oct. 12 - 22, 2000. Fleet Week attendees can visit Frontier's promotional areas, including a booth at the Miramar Marine Base Air Show, Oct. 13 - 15. Frontier representatives will be on-hand throughout the week, in several locations to answer travel questions, distribute promotional items and register attendees for trip giveaways to various Frontier destinations.

"We're very proud to continue the tradition of sponsoring this tremendous event. We truly value our relationship with our military constituents and our Fleet Week sponsorship is one of the ways we convey that positive relationship," said Frontier National Director of Sales Tom Allee. "Our Fleet Week sponsorship also provides us with a wonderful opportunity to reacquaint the San Diego community with Frontier."

Denver-based Frontier Airlines serves 23 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 25 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 2,300 aviation professionals. The airline is the second largest jet service carrier of Denver International Airport with an average of 112 daily systemwide departures and arrivals. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flyer miles in Continental Airlines' OnePass® program. In 1999, Frontier was named "Best Low-Fare Carrier" by Entrepreneur Magazine in the publication's sixth annual Business Travel Awards. Also in 1999, the airline received the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) prestigious Aviation Maintenance Technician Employers Diamond Certificate of Excellence Award, which provides special recognition to airlines that have 25 percent of eligible employees complete an advanced aircraft maintenance training program. One hundred percent of Frontier's maintenance employees completed the advanced maintenance training program. Frontier's Web site may be viewed at http://www.frontierairlines.com.
