Frontier Airlines Names Manager, El Paso Station

Denver (July 20, 2000) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) has named Peter De La Torre as city manager of its El Paso, Texas station, effective immediately. Peter brings over eight years of airline experience to his new position, and most recently served as a customer service coordinator for the airline's El Paso station. De La Torre, 26, will oversee the airline's customer service and station operations at El Paso, including a staff of over 20 Frontier employees. He will report directly to Regional Director of Station Operations-Western Region Scott Litchard. De La Torre replaces former El Paso Manager Ruben S. Valdez, who recently became manager of Frontier's new call center in Las Cruces, N.M.

"Peter's leadership and customer service skills demonstrated over the past four years ensures continued success for Frontier's El Paso operation, as he transitions into the new management position," said Litchard. "We look forward to his continued professional development."

Prior to joining Frontier, De La Torre served in a leadership role with International Total Services (ITS) in El Paso. He attended the University of El Paso, and currently lives in El Paso with his wife, Jenny and two-month-old daughter, Calah.

Denver-based Frontier Airlines serves 22 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 24 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 2,200 aviation professionals. The airline is the second largest jet user of Denver International Airport with an average of 112 daily systemwide departures and arrivals. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flyer miles in Continental Airlines' OnePass® program. In 1999, Frontier was named "Best Low-Fare Carrier" by Entrepreneur Magazine in the publication's sixth annual Business Travel Awards. Also in 1999, the airline received the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) prestigious Aviation Maintenance Technician Employers Diamond Certificate of Excellence Award, which provides special recognition to airlines that have 25 percent of eligible employees complete an advanced training aircraft maintenance training program.
