Frontier Airlines Named Official Airlines of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival

DENVER (June 30, 2000) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) is pleased to announce it has been named Official Airline of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The annual event runs from July 1 through July 3. Festival attendees will have three ways to potentially win a trip on Frontier Airlines:

  1. Visit Frontier's promotional booth all three days of the Festival. The airline's booth will be located at Milwaukee and Second Avenue. Frontier employees will be available at the airline's booth to answer travel questions, distribute promotional items and register attendees for trip giveaways on the airline's prize wheel.
  2. Frontier is the Name-In-Title Sponsor of the Frontier Airlines Destination: Art Souvenir Cup Promotion. This promotion involves approximately 50,000 beverage cups that will be sold at the Festival's refreshment stands. Each cup will contain a coupon to be redeemed on site during the Festival for a prize, including the top prize, which is one trip for two on Frontier to either Chicago, New York or Los Angeles.
  3. Frontier will serve as Presenting Sponsor of the ArtZone Venue, an interactive arts activity area for adults. Attendees will have an opportunity to win a trip for two at the ArtZone.site map: Allows browsers to view an overview of the Web site.

"Art is instrumental to our society, and transcends all demographics. We are pleased to offer Frontier's support to an organization that, over the last 10 years, has done an excellent job of promoting the benefits of participating in the arts," said Frontier President Sam Addoms.

Denver-based Frontier Airlines serves 22 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 24 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 2,100 aviation professionals. The airline is the second largest jet user of Denver International Airport with an average of 112 daily systemwide departures and arrivals. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flyer miles in Continental Airlines' OnePass® program. In 1999, Frontier was named "Best Low-Fare Carrier" by Entrepreneur Magazine in the publication's sixth annual Business Travel Awards. Also in 1999, the airline received the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) prestigious Aviation Maintenance Technician Employers Diamond Certificate of Excellence Award, which provides special recognition to airlines that have 25 percent of eligible employees complete an advanced training aircraft maintenance training program.
