Enhancements to the airline's site include real-time flight tracking and access to exclusive travel deals offered by the airline's travel partners. The airline also announced it has signed a Letter of Intent to purchase EDS' Versatile Internet Booking Engine (VIBE), and implement that system by the end of calendar 2000. VIBE offers the schedules, reservations and flight information required for a rapidly increasing Web business. "EDS is dedicated to providing Frontier with evolving system enhancements to promote the growth of their Internet booking capabilities," said Bill Richard, client executive for EDS. "VIBE is a powerful platform for continued expansions of capacity and future innovative features."

The airline's redesign initiative was led by Frontier Airlines Director, e-Commerce Lowell Miller and Web Site Project Manager Tricia Scheick, who worked with the airline's Web site agency of record, Louisville, Colorado-based Fourmula Technologies LLP. "We look forward to our partnership with a strong company like Frontier Airlines that will include future e-products." Denver-based Frontier Airlines serves 21 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 23 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 2,000 aviation professionals. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flyer miles in Continental Airlines' OnePass® program. In 1999, Frontier was named "Best Low-Fare Carrier" by Entrepreneur Magazine in the publication's sixth annual Business Travel Awards.
