Mar 31, 2000Frontier Airlines to begin Kansas City, MO. ServiceKANSAS CITY, MO. (Mar. 31, 2000) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced it will begin service to Kansas City, Mo., effective June 15, 2000. The airline will operate three daily nonstop flights from its Denver hub. With the new service, Frontier will offer convenient connections beyond Denver to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque and El Paso. Terminal and gate location information will be determined at a later date. "We are extremely pleased to bring Frontier's affordable fares to Kansas City," said Frontier's Vice President of Marketing Jeff Potter. "Kansas City is the sixteenth largest passenger market from Denver and provides an excellent strategic addition to Frontier's route system. Including Kansas City, Frontier now serves 17 of the top 25 cities from Denver." "Frontier Airlines is a great addition to the carriers serving Kansas City International. They offer additional choices to passengers traveling to Denver, and their strong network from Denver means more connecting opportunities to many more cities," said Kansas City Department of Aviation Director of Marketing Tom McKenna.
