Oct 1, 1999Frontier Airlines Electronic Tickets Now Available on the Worldspan® Global Distribution SystemDENVER (Oct. 1, 1999) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced travel agents utilizing the Worldspan® global distribution system (GDS) will be able to offer electronic ticketing effective immediately. "Frontier now offers electronic ticketing through three of the four global distribution systems," said Frontier's Vice President of Marketing Jeff Potter. "This is an important service for business travelers and, with today's announcement, we are ahead of our anticipated rollout schedule." The airline anticipates that the fourth GDS, SABRE, will offer e-ticket capabilities by the end of April 2000. Frontier's schedules and fares are displayed in all four of the major global distribution systems used by travel agents. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flyer miles in Continental Airlines' OnePass® program. The airline currently serves 21 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 19 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 1,800 travel professionals.
