Frontier Airlines Celebrates Five Years of Service with Internet Offer
DENVER (July 7, 1999) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today continues its five year birthday celebration by giving away five free trips for two over the next five days (July 7-11, 1999). To enter Frontier's "Five Years, Five Days, Five Free Trips for Two" contest, simply log onto the airline's Web site at www.frontierairlines.com and follow the instructions that lead you to the contest. Frontier will give away one pair of round-trip tickets to any Frontier destination every day beginning with July 7 and ending on July 11. Travel is valid from August 16 - December 15, 1999 and some blackout dates apply.
"We have come a long way in five years and we want to celebrate that journey with as many people as possible," said Frontier Vice President of Marketing Jeff Potter. "The Internet allows us to reach the maximum number of people in all of the communities we serve. In addition, we hope that contest participants will check out our Spirit of the Web' fares while they're visiting our Web site."
Entrants must be 18 years or older and may enter only once each day. Multiple entries received in one day will result in disqualification. Entrants must re-enter their information each day in order to be eligible for that particular day's drawing. Entries must be received no later than midnight MDT for that day's drawing.
Frontier's "Spirit of the Web" fares offer special fares on Wednesdays for travel opportunities the following weekend. Customers may also receive weekly e-mail notification of the airline's "Spirit of the Web" fares by registering on the airline's Web site.
Denver-based Frontier Airlines commenced operations on July 5, 1994. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flyer miles in Continental Airlines' OnePass® program.
The airline currently serves 20 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 19 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 1,700 travel professionals. Frontier was recently named "Best Domestic Low-Fare Air Carrier" by Entrepreneur magazine in the publication's sixth annual Business Travel Awards. The airline was recently recognized at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards ceremony when its president received the Entrepreneur of the Year award in the services sector.
