Frontier Airlines Offers "Spirit of the Web" Fares
DENVER (April 21, 1999) - Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT ) today announced that it will begin offering, discounted ``Spirit of the Web'' fares via the airline's Web site (http://www.frontierairlines.com.). These special fares will be offered every Wednesday morning on Frontier's Web site and will change on a weekly basis. ``Spirit of the Web'' fares must be booked and purchased by midnight each Friday (MDT) for outbound travel the following day (Saturday) with the return flight on Monday or Tuesday immediately following. Fares will be available only for the designated flights and cities posted on the airline's Web site and are based on a round-trip purchase. Frontier's ``Spirit of the Web'' fares may only be booked via Frontier's Web site.
"The response from customers to Frontier's on-line booking has been extremely favorable," said Vice President of Marketing Jeff Potter. "This newest enhancement to our Web site will further solidify our relationships with our on-line customers."
Customers will be able to register their e-mail addresses on Frontier's Web site in order to receive future notifications each Wednesday via e-mail advising them of the ``Spirit of the Web'' weekly specials.
Denver-based Frontier Airlines commenced operations on July 5, 1994. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flier mileage points in Continental Airlines' OnePass® program. The airline currently serves 19 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 18 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 1,500 travel professionals. Frontier was recently named ``Best Domestic Low-Fare Air Carrier'' by Entrepreneur magazine in the publication's sixth annual Business Travel Awards.
