Mar 23, 1999Frontier Airlines Announces Spring is in the Air Fare SaleDENVER (March 23, 1999) -- ; Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced its Spring is in the Air Fare Sale, offering fares as low as $69 one-way, based on a round-trip purchase, for travel from Denver to Salt Lake City. These fares are based on a 14-day advance purchase for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday. Tickets must be purchased by April 4, 1999 and paid for within 24 hours of booking. Travel is good from April 12 through June 15, 1999. Passenger facility charges of up to $12 are not included in these fares and sale fares are not available for travel on May 28 and May 31, 1999. Once purchased, these fares are non-refundable and non-transferable, but may be reissued for a $60 change fee plus any applicable difference in fare. Previously purchased tickets may not be exchanged for these special fare tickets. "We're bringing back our Spring is in the Air Fare Sale because of its enormous popularity last year," said Jeff Potter, Frontier's vice president of marketing. "With these low fares, travelers can celebrate the coming of the spring season with a weekend getaway, or even plan an early summer vacation." The following Spring is in the Air Fare Sale examples are based on roundtrip purchase: Atlanta to Seattle/Tacoma for $159 each way; Chicago/Midway to Phoenix for $159 each way; Denver to Dallas/Fort Worth for $89 each way; New York/La Guardia to Las Vegas for $159 each way; Denver to Minneapolis for $79 each way; Baltimore/Washington to San Francisco for $149 each way; New York/La Guardia to San Francisco for $149 each way; and Boston to San Diego for $159 each way. These special sale fares are available by calling Frontier Airlines at 1-800-4321-FLY, visiting Frontier's Web site at http://www.frontierairlines.com, or by consulting your professional travel agent. Denver-based Frontier Airlines commenced operations on July 5, 1994. Unlike other airlines, Frontier's low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flier mileage points in Continental Airlines' OnePass program. The airline currently serves 19 cities coast-to-coast with a fleet of 17 Boeing 737 jets.
