Sep 14, 1998Frontier Airlines Names Station PersonnelDENVER (Sept. 14, 1998) - - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) has named Kevin Pederson as senior manager, station operations and Jacqueline Simpson as Phoenix city manager. Pederson, who will be based at Frontier's general offices in Denver, succeeds Red Barringer, who was recently promoted to director, station operations. Pederson brings ten years of airline experience to his new position, including most recently serving as Frontier's city manager in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Minot State University in Minot, N.D. Pederson's responsibilities will include overall operation and guidance of Frontier's systemwide station personnel, freight and mail operations, ground handling and ground security. Simpson succeeds Vickie Wallace, who recently left Frontier to pursue other opportunities. Simpson's career with Frontier began in 1997 as supervisor, station operations in Phoenix. In her new role, she will be responsible for the Phoenix station's budget, manuals, personnel and overall operation issues. Barringer said: "Both Kevin and Jacqueline have made many meaningful contributions to Frontier and we are very pleased that they are taking on new leadership roles and additional responsibilities." Denver-based Frontier Airlines commenced operations on July 5, 1994. The airline currently serves 16 cities coast-to-coast with a fleet of 14 Boeing 737 jets and has approximately 1,000 employees.
