Frontier to Implement Revenue Optimization Technology
DENVER (Aug. 20, 1998) - - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced it has entered into an agreement with Houston-based PROS Strategic Solutions Inc. (PROS) for the installation of PROS IV revenue management software. The PROS system significantly improves opportunities to increase revenue by analyzing historic booking trends and forecasting purchasing habits on a market, flight and seat basis.
"We are extremely excited about our new partnership with PROS,'' said Jeff Potter, vice president of marketing. ``While our current revenue management system has served us well, the PROS IV package will take our revenue management to the next level as we continue to grow the airline. In addition, PROS offers a proven high quality product and, based on the potential revenue improvements to Frontier, a relatively short payback period."
The PROS IV installation is expected to take approximately six months and when complete, will replace Frontier's current revenue management system, Revenue Enhancement Solutions. PROS Strategic Solutions has licensed more than 130 PROS systems at 60 different airlines worldwide, including Lufthansa German Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Southwest and Air Canada.
Denver-based Frontier Airlines commenced operations on July 5, 1994. The airline currently serves 16 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 14 Boeing 737 jets and has approximately 1,000 employees. Frontier's website may be viewed at http://www.frontierairlines.com .
