Frontier Airlines to Mark 4th Anniversary Sunday

DENVER (July 2, 1998) - - Frontier Airlines on Sunday, July 5, will mark the fourth anniversary of its startup at a ceremony at Denver International Airport at 1 p.m. between Gates A-34 and A-36. Community and airport officials will be present to help celebrate the event and Denver Mayor Wellington E. Webb's proclamation of July 5 as "Frontier Employees Day."

Frontier President Sam Addoms said the carrier's low-fare, full-service flights have so far carried close to 4 million passengers to and from Denver, with ticket savings totaling more than $180 million.

Passengers on Sunday will receive cookies baked by Frontier's 935 employees for the birthday celebration along with commemorative gifts.

Frontier operates a fleet of 14 Boeing 737 jets on routes linking its Denver hub to 14 cities in 12 states coast to coast. Additionally, new flights from Denver to San Diego are set to begin July 23.
