Jun 6, 2007Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for May 2007DENVER, June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for May 2007. Revenue passenger miles increased 13.4 percent to 865,730,000 for May 2007 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 13.7 percent to 1,088,270,000 for May 2007 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for May 2007 of 79.6 percent, a decrease of 0.2 points from May 2006, when the airline reported a load factor of 79.8 percent. The airline carried 912,219 passengers during May 2007, a 13.1 percent increase from May 2006. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.12 cents for the month of May 2007, a decrease of 1.8 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) was 8.05 cents, down .18 cents or 2.2 percent from May 2006. For the month of May 2007, the airline's average length of haul increased 0.2 percent to 949 miles, compared to the same period last year.
