Aug 4, 2006Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for July 2006DENVER, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for July 2006. Revenue passenger miles increased 16.1 percent to 849,272,000 for July 2006 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 11.6 percent to 996,404,000 for July 2006 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for July 2006 of 85.2 percent, an increase of 3.3 points from July 2005, when the airline reported a load factor of 81.9 percent. The airline carried 915,849 passengers during July 2006, a 21.0 percent increase from July 2005. The airline reported passenger yield of 11.98 cents for the month of July 2006, an increase of 5.2 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger revenue per available seat mile was 10.21 cents, up 0.88 cents or 9.4 percent from July 2005. For the month of July 2006, the airline's average length of haul decreased 4.0 percent to 927 miles, compared to the same period last year.
