Jul 6, 2006Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Record Traffic for June 2006Frontier Achieves Highest Load Factor in Company History DENVER, July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for June 2006, reporting not only a record load factor for the month of June, but also the highest monthly load factor in the Company's history. Revenue passenger miles increased 21.8 percent to 813,146,000 for June 2006 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 17.7 percent to 954,886,000 for June 2006 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for June 2006 of 85.2 percent, an increase of 2.9 points from June 2005, when the airline reported a load factor of 82.3 percent. The airline carried 858,261 passengers during June 2006, a 24.5 percent increase from June 2005. The airline reported passenger yield of 11.61 cents for the month of June 2006, an increase of 4.4 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) was 9.89 cents, up .74 cents or 8.1 percent from June 2005. For the month of June 2006, the airline's average length of haul decreased 2.3 percent to 947 miles, compared to the same period last year.
