Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for December 2005


DENVER, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for December 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 9.4 percent to 620,416,000 for December 2005 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 8.8 percent to 874,804,000 for December 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for December 2005 of 70.9 percent, an increase of 0.3 points from December 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 70.6 percent. The airline carried 642,663 passengers during December 2005, a 12.8 percent increase from December 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 11.53 cents for the month of December 2005, an increase of 6.3 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger revenue per available seat mile was 8.18 cents, up .53 or 6.9 percent from December 2004. For the month of December 2005, the airline's average length of haul decreased 3.1 percent to 965 miles as compared to the same period last year.
