Aug 20, 2005Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for August 2005DENVER (Sept. 7, 2005) – Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for August 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 9.7 percent to 655,862,000 for August 2005 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 4.2 percent to 846,316,000 for August 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for August 2005 of 77.5 percent, an increase of 3.9 points from August 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 73.6 percent. The airline carried 684,355 passengers during August 2005, a 14.3 percent increase from August 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.58 cents for the month of August 2005, an increase of 5.1 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger revenue per available seat mile was 8.20 cents, up .79 cents or 10.7 percent from August 2004. For the month of August 2005, the airline's average length of haul decreased 4.0 percent to 958 miles as compared to the same period last year.
