Jun 20, 2005Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for June 2005DENVER (July 7, 2005) – Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for June 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 10.8 percent to 667,842,000 for June 2005 as compared to the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 3.9 percent to 811,315,000 for June 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for June 2005 of 82.3 percent, an increase of 5.1 points from June 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 77.2 percent. The airline carried 689,343 passengers during June 2005, a 14.7 percent increase from June 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 11.12 cents for the month of June 2005, an increase of 9.6 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) was 9.15 cents, up 1.32 cents or 16.9 percent from June 2004. For the month of June 2005, the airline's average length of haul decreased 3.3 percent to 969 miles, compared to the same period last year. "We are excited that Frontier's traffic in June resulted in the highest load factor in the history of the airline," said Frontier President and CEO Jeff Potter. "We are also pleased that we recorded a strong revenue performance for the month of June, but, like the rest of the industry, our success continues to be tempered by the escalating price of fuel which negates much of the positive performance in the quarter."
