Feb 20, 2005Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for February 2005DENVER (March 7, 2005) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for February 2005. Revenue passenger miles increased 19.6 percent to 495,693,000 for February 2005 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 9.7 percent to 673,790,000 for February 2005 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for February 2005 of 73.6 percent, an increase of 6.1 points from February 2004, when the airline reported a load factor of 67.5 percent. The airline carried 503,071 passengers during February 2005, a 14.9 percent increase from February 2004. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.25 cents for the month of February 2005, a decrease of 4.5 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile was 7.54 cents, up .30 cents or 4.1 percent from February 2004. For the month of February 2005, the airline's average length of haul increased 4.1 percent to 985 miles, compared to the same period last year.
