Oct 20, 2004Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for October 2004DENVER (November 4, 2004) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for October 2004. Revenue passenger miles increased 27.8 percent to 540,084,000 for October 2004 from the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 27.7 percent to 737,801,000 for October 2004 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for October 2004 of 73.2 percent, an increase of 0.1 points from October 2003, when the airline reported a load factor of 73.1 percent. The airline carried 551,419 passengers during October 2004, a 15.8 percent increase from October 2003. The airline reported passenger yield of 9.72 cents for the month of October 2004, a decrease of 13.2 percent from the same period last year. Its preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile was 7.11 cents, down 1.08 cents or 13.2 percent from October 2003. For the month of October 2004, the airline's average length of haul increased 10.4 percent to 979 miles, compared to the same period last year.
